Can you give us some more information? What is your set up? (memory, CPU, ect...) This could be caused by a virus, a corrupted driver, or bad hardware. Can you get to safe mode? _________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

if you can get to the safe boot menu try the last known good configuration option. if that doesn't work it's time for a reinstall. _________________ We hate rut, but we fear change.

When you first power up, can you get into the BIOS pages without a reboot? If not, then likely the CPU or another main feature is overheating or there is a memory problem. If entry to the BIOS pages is steady, but when trying to boot to the OS, then likely there is a file corruption or possibly bad hard drive sector. Or worse yet, some virus or Trojan has infested your files!
It is best to always post the full details of any system so a better diagnosis can be had. _________________ F@H.. to solve mankind's maladies.. in our lifetimes! |
