ASUS is a Tier-1 motherboard manufacturer based in Taiwan. They manufacture motherboards, video cards, sound cards and other computer components. Over the years, I've reviewed many an ASUS motherboard and video card. Generally they tend to release products for the high-end consumer, with Premium and Deluxe versions of each major chipset.
Intel is the number one CPU manufacturer and motherboard chipset manufacturer in the world. Today Intel is a company with over $34 Billion USD in revenue last year and more than 90,000 employees. Intel announced their newest processor specification, the LGA-775 last year in April. Earlier this year Intel announced the 945 and 955X chipsets to support Dual Core CPUs and more.
