The bundle for the ASUS p6NE-SLI board is rather sparse by most motherboard standards in terms of hardware, but enough to get you started. The inclusion of two SATA cables and the power cable required for it allows the new user to immediately use two SATA drives in RAID mode. I would have preferred if ASUS had included four cables to match the included ones on the board but it is a cost-saving measure. The 2-port USB bracket brings the total USB ports out of the box to 6.

Software is one of ASUS's strong points on their motherboard bundles as they generally include their own proprietary software as well as anti-virus software. The Driver CD has Norton's Internet Security, which provides anti-virus software and a Personal Firewall that helps protect your computer. PC Probe II monitors your system temperatures, voltage, and the RPM of your system fans in Windows to keep you apprised of possible issues. ASUS Update updates your BIOS from a file, or from the Internet in Windows.
